MORE ABOUT
NOVARA TECHNICAL SCHOOL
Novara Technical School is an institution run by the Catholic Church, Dinajpur Diocese.
Our goal is to give high quality professional training, as well as good human formation.
In the 1960’s, some of the PIME missionaries understood that a technical school was the best answer to the needs of the changing society at large, and specifically to the changing conditions of the poor people, most of them adibashi.
They took the risk to open a new horizon that was not yet clear, because Bangladesh was almost totally relying on agriculture, practiced with very traditional methods.
Time has shown that their vision was correct. Technology has now conquered Bangladesh, and it is growing rapidly.
OUR GRATITUDE
Thousand of youth have gone through our formation and training. Now they work in their villages, or they are employed in one of the innumerable companies growing in and around Dhaka, many of them supporting their families with dignity.
We are proud of this.
Our gratitude goes to the Italian friends of Novara, Varallo and all the donors whom, in all these years, made this possible.
Particularly we want to remember the late Fr. Ercole Scolari and Bishop Obert, who courageously started the collaboration with the Novara Centre in Suihari.
We would like to thank all those who have been part of this beautiful undertaking, those who have committed themselves to continue to the future too, and those whom the Lord has already called to receive their reward in Haven.
